Visitors to our Newport office might have noticed a friendly new face in recent months – our most recent member of staff, Nesta Young.
Nesta is with us three days per week, helping with admin tasks and customer service. Nesta joined our team following the sad passing of our colleague, Andrea Ellaway, last summer, and has brought a wealth of experience to the Plutus Health office (not to mention a sharp sense of humour!).
As Nesta settles in, we’ve asked her to answer some questions to help our customers get to know her – read on!
Where do you live?
I was born in Risca and moved to Newport when I was 12. I lived in the Brynglas area for 35 years and have recently moved to Cwmbran.
Where did you work previously?
I worked for 27 years at Barclays Bank, starting as an audio typist and working my way up to PA to the Area Corporate Director. Following that, I worked for two start-up companies as office manager.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with and babysitting my grandchildren, a granddaughter who’s five and a grandson who will be two in January. I enjoy going to church, as well as going on holiday and socialising at our local Constitution Club.
What you hope to bring to the team?
I have lots of experience. I’d like to bring commitment to the team, as well as a sense of support. I also hope to bring fun to the workplace, as I’ve a very warm sense of humour!
